Tips for choosing
- Shopping trip: hotels in the Setor Aeroporto district or near Avenida JK keep you closer to the clothing stores. See how to buy wholesale.
- Sightseeing: downtown, you are within walking distance of the churches of the historic center and close to the road up the mountain.
- Passing through on the BR-153: there are options right by the highway for an overnight stop.
- Cavalhadas and big festivals: demand rises sharply; see the Cavalhadas page and book early. On those dates, short-term house rentals are also common.
