Clothing factories: why Jaraguá is the clothing capital
Jaraguá lies in the center of the state of Goiás, along the BR-153 (Belém-Brasília) highway, about 120 km from Goiânia, the state capital. It is one of the state's main clothing-manufacturing hubs, best known for denim: in March 2026 the Sebrae news agency (Agência Sebrae de Notícias) described the municipality as the third-largest jeans producer in Brazil, with more than 350 factories in operation. Factories and wholesale stores are concentrated in the Setor Aeroporto district and along Avenida JK.

Outlet Jaraguá
On the edge of the BR-153 highway, the Outlet Jaraguá was built to bring together the local brands in a single place. The building has already hosted the Expo Jaraguá; check its current situation before you go.
Tourism: mountains, history and festivals
The Serra de Jaraguá is a state park with free entry, trails, viewpoints and one of the best-known paragliding launch ramps in Brazil's Center-West. The historic center has 18th-century churches, and during the Festa do Divino (Feast of the Holy Spirit) the town stages the Cavalhadas, on a date that changes every year.
