Cora Coralina Trail in Jaraguá

The Cora Coralina Trail (Caminho de Cora Coralina) is a long-distance trail of about 300 km through inland Goiás. Jaraguá is on the route: the municipal stretch is about 24.2 km, from the Rosário church to Vila Aparecida, passing through the Serra de Jaraguá State Park.

What the Trail is

According to Goiás state government material, the Trail is a long-distance route of about 300 km that starts in Cidade de Goiás (in the Serra Dourada protected area) and heads east to Corumbá de Goiás. It is named in honor of the poet Cora Coralina. The official map divides the route into 12 stretches and some news reports speak of 13 stages; the stretches on the map add up to roughly 290 to 300 km. The towns on the route include Cocalzinho de Goiás, Pirenópolis, São Francisco de Goiás, Jaraguá, Itaguari and Itaberaí, besides the two ends.
